How often does a burglar alarm panel battery require replacing? Typically every 5 years for panels sited at ambient room temperature, this can be reduced to 3 years for panels sited in an airing cupboard, loft or garage. My burglar alarm panel has stopped working can it be replaced or will I need a new system? We can replace just the alarm panel using your existing sensors and wiring. I have an old wireless alarm installed can it be repaired? In most cases you will require a new system, older systems used 418MHz or 433MHz frequency, these systems are now obsolete. How often should my burglar alarm be serviced? Domestic alarms should be serviced yearly. Can wireless sensors be added to my existing hard wired system? Yes a wireless receiver is connected to spare zones on the alarm panel then additional wireless sensors can be added, this is useful for home extensions or garages that are difficult to wire.
